After facing mounting pressure from numerous universities — including Cornell — German sportswear manufacturer Adidas has agreed to pay severance to 2,700 Indonesian factory workers, the Cornell Organization for Labor Action announced Wednesday. 

As higher education increasingly uses technology to aid teaching and learning, Cornell has recently embraced a technology-facilitated educational model that allows more class time to be spent on engaging learning activities, such as interactive polls, in place of a typical lecture. 

The renovated building has a rain garden to control stormwater runoff, a garden terrace for use by the faculty and staff and solar panels for renewable energy.

Throughout the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which has been marked by violence and bitter diatribe, many have questioned whether peace is even possible in the Middle East.
